Allegra suspension is often prescribed to relieve the symptoms of allergic rhinitis, which includes sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, itchy or watery eyes, and itching of the throat or nose. It can help alleviate these symptoms caused by seasonal allergies (hay fever) or year-round allergies to substances like pollen, dust mites, or pet dander.
It is also used to manage chronic urticaria, a condition characterized by the development of hives (raised, itchy welts on the skin) that can last for more than six weeks. It helps reduce the itching and rash associated with chronic urticaria, providing relief to patients.
It may be prescribed for allergic skin conditions such as eczema or atopic dermatitis. It can help reduce itching and inflammation associated with these conditions, although it may not be the primary treatment in all cases.
