Dr. Javeed Ahmad Bhat

Dr. Bhat is a cancer epigenist presently working at University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC), New York, USA. Dr. Bhat’s research is focused on investigating the kinetics of ISW2 and RSC (ATP-dependant chromatin re-modeller) remodelling and his team has recently discovered the novel mechanism of how these re-modellers work. Prior to joining URMC, Dr. Bhat has developed potential anti-lymphocytic leukemia therapeutic molecule while he was working towards his doctoral thesis at Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Jammu. Apart from a strong background in cancer epigenetics, Dr. Bhat is also a pioneer in chromatin remodelling, protein biochemistry, molecular biology and drug discovery with 10 years of academic experience, in multiple disease areas. Dr. Bhat is confident that in coming years his expertise in basic scientific world and therapeutics will provide him a better chance to develop effective anticancer treatments.
