Dr. Choudri Muzafar Paswal

Dr. Choudri Muzafar is currently working at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) as a DM Fellow in Neonatology. He has done his MBBS from Govt. Medical College Srinagar and his MD Paediatrics from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER ) Chandigarh, India. which is one of the best and leading institute in the field of medical education and research in India. Dr. Muzafar is well trained in Paediatric intensive care and mechanical ventilation. He is certified in Neonatal Advance Life support (NALS) and Paediatric advanced life support (PALS) by American Heart Association. His areas of interest are infection control, asepsis, antibiotic stewardship, pediatric growth, immunization, neurodevelopmental assessment, inborn errors of metabolism, perinatology and neonatal intensive care. During his academic’s years he served as a Social Secretary, General Secretary, and President CASS Union Govt. Medical College Srinagar. He is the Centre Core Member of Doctors Association Kashmir since 2016. He has done his research on calcium metabolism in septic shock and association with outcome in terms of mortality, morbidity and other parameters in Pediatric Population. He has also worked on few interested rare case reports like Intravenous Immunoglobulin for Bilateral Phrenic Nerve Palsy due to Neonatal Lupus Erythematosus, Can COVID-19 positivity in mother cause Fetal and Neonatal Atrial Flutter?. Acute encephalitis with cortical laminar necrosis associated with multisystemic inflammatory syndrome. He is currently working on physiological cord clamping in newborns, a novel rarely studied topic in Neonatology. He has been conferred with the first ever Tribal awards in the field of Medical Education and Research in year 2022 by Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir.
