Dr. Nazir Ahmad Lone

Dr. Nazir Ahmad Lone is currently working as a Research Scientist at Pennsylvania State University, Penn-State Health College of Medicine, Pennsylvania United States. The present focus of his research is on the Cellular drifting of aggressive cancer and its therapeutic targets, the Mechno transduction domain in cancer metastasis, and cancer drug resistance. Dr. Lone has completed his doctorate degree from the Academy of scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR-India) and was working with Dr. Sheikh Tasduq Abdullah at the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)- Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM) canal Road Jammu-India. His area of research during the doctorate program revolves around “Role of Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER) Stress and Autophagy Signalling as Therapeutic Target for Melanoma”. He has well-working experience in Skin Photodamage induced by the exposure to Ultraviolet (UV) B Radiation, a burden for the people living in high-altitude areas like Kashmir, and the role of natural Products (Trigonelline, Glycyrrhizic acid)/cosmeceutical agents in preventing skin pathologies mediated by sun exposure, particularly UV-B. He has also good experience in model development and therapeutic interventions for Non-Alcoholic fatty Liver disease (NAFLD). Dr. Lone has published his findings in good reputed international journals and presented his work at different international/national conferences, symposiums, and workshops. Besides, he has also received various Fellow awards for his academic and research distinctions including CSIR-JRF/SRF, and UGC-BSR-Fellowship.
