Dr. Sheikh Rayees

Dr. Sheikh Rayees is a pharmacologist working at the CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, India. He completed his master’s in biotechnology at HNB Garhwal University followed by his doctoral degree at the prestigious CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine and SMVDU, Jammu, India. Dr. Rayees did his postdoctoral training at University of Illinois at Chicago, USA. Recently, Dr. Rayees received prestigious Ramalingaswami fellowship award from Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India. Dr. Rayees is currently working towards understanding the biology and therapeutics of respiratory disorders such as acute lung injury/inflammation and acute respiratory distress syndrome. He has published several articles in leading peer-reviewed journals and has sound academic credentials. Dr. Rayees received several awards throughout his doctoral and postdoctoral research career.
